¿a quien ayudamos?
AcompañArte is a program that aims to contribute to the improvement of the mental health of people with functional diversity through the realization of telematic musical performances between volunteers and people who suffer from loneliness.
The AcompañArte programme deals with care and management of volunteering, aimed at the group of elderly people, with emphasis on people with functional diversity or in vulnerable situations living in the municipalities identified as important areas of the Valencian Community, living in a situation of loneliness.
It consists of a new model of socialization through technology, consisting of a 45-minute telematic accompaniment, with 50% musical interaction (participatory micro-concert) and 50% non-musical interaction.
This personal interaction seeks to prevent, mitigate and reduce the incidence of loneliness and the mental health problems that derive from it, such as negative emotions, sadness, suffering, lack of meaning in life, lower skills, lack of confidence and self-assurance.
The worst thing about loneliness is the possibility of developing diseases such as Alzheimer’s or other dementias or pathologies that lead to cognitive impairment.
Participatory micro-concerts are the common thread to weave a network of telematic social relationships, generate bonds and attachment relationships, and establish lasting social networks to offer the necessary social provision to alleviate the deficit of interpersonal relationships.
The program is aimed at older people with diseases such as Alzheimer’s, dementia or age-related cognitive impairment pathologies. This program aims to meet their needs, as well as promote healthy aging and an improvement in their quality of life, offering an accompaniment and support service.
The program is aimed at people with functional diversity. The purpose of Capable Melodies is to promote social interactions by attending to the needs of this group in order to improve their quality of life, promote social inclusion and improve their experience in the social and health environment.
The Choirs, Singing and Remembrance program is aimed at older people with age-related cognitive impairment pathologies. The aim of bringing music closer to this group is to help them remember the songs of their childhood, adolescence, to evoke memories, bring well-being and improve their mood through singing and interaction.
